Privacy

What we collect, plainly

Short version: no cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no ads. The only personal data we ever hold is what you type into a form and send us.

What you send us

The enquiry and digest forms ask for a name, an email address, and the details of your request. Submissions are relayed to our inbox by FormSubmit, a third-party form service, and are used for exactly one thing: answering your request or sending the digest you signed up for. We do not sell, share or rent this information, and we do not add you to any list you did not ask for. Reply "unsubscribe" to any digest email and you are off the list.

What the site itself collects

Nothing. There is no analytics script, no cookie, no fingerprinting and no third-party embed on any page. The player explorer runs entirely in your browser. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, whose servers keep standard access logs (IP address, requested page) under GitHub's privacy statement; we never see those logs.

Player data on this site

Latent publishes performance statistics about professional footballers, derived by us from records of publicly played matches. This is factual, sports-journalistic information about public professional activity. If you are a player, agent or club and believe a figure about you is wrong, write to us and we will check it against the source data and correct any error. The methodology page states exactly how every number is produced.

Retention and your rights

Correspondence is kept only as long as the conversation it belongs to is live. Ask us at any time what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, and we will.
